Submissions are now OPEN for the 2024 Montana Law Enforcement Appreciation Poster Contest, as announced by the MT Attorney General, Austin Knudsen.

Elementary students across Montana are welcomed to submit artwork showing their appreciation for Montana's law enforcement officers who risk their lives daily keeping our communities safe.

A winner will be chosen from each of the seven MHP districts, and awarded an ice cream social for their class, delivered by the Montana Department of Justice.

A statewide winner will be selected from the seven regional winners, to celebrate with AG Knudsen, MHP Colonel Steve Lavin, and local law enforcement in May. Plus, the winner will have the opportunity to ride along with Col. Lavin, and the winning poster will be displayed in MT DOJ offices and made available to law enforcement offices across Montana.

AG Knudsen had this to share:

This contest is a great opportunity for our youngest citizens to show their support and respect for our law enforcement officers.

And MHP Col. Lavin added:

The law enforcement appreciation poster contest is a great opportunity for young people to reflect on the impact Montana’s law enforcement has on our communities.
