TSA In Montana Could Get Easy For Apple Users
Airport security will get smoother for those who have iPhones.
TSA Security and Montana
Going through TSA in Montana is pretty relaxed.
The security lines at Montana's airports are nothing like what you see at major airports.
Many folks who fly frequently will use TSA PreCheck or Clear to get through security faster. These services cost money but are worth the price if you like to show up tardy to the airport.
Starting in May 2025, travelers must use a REAL ID to get through TSA Security. REAL IDs are more secure and follow strict guidelines from Homeland Security.
Making sure you have the correct ID can be annoying and frustrating, but there might be something convenient you can use soon. That's if you have a certain kind of phone.
iPhones ID
The Points Guy reports TSA will soon allow Apple users to use a Digital ID to help advance through security.
Apple officially launched official state IDs in their Wallet app in 2022. Only a handful of states have enabled this technology, but several more states will roll out this feature soon.
The states that have worked with the tech giant so residents can add their ID to their Wallet app can use a digital ID to get through security in case they need it.
The TSA fully backs the Digital ID. It could be a game changer for many who are forgetful while traveling.
We could see Montana getting involved in 2025 or 2026 to make traveling easier. Folks use their iPhones to pay for groceries, identify items, and play music.
Digital IDs would be a game changer.
Montana should seriously look into it.
