Miranda Lambert Gets Long-Awaited Valentine’s Day Gift From Blake Shelton
While people across the country are enjoying the sight of those colorful flowers on their desks today or ruing the number of chocolates they indulged in yesterday, Miranda Lambert is likely having a hard time keeping her eyes off the newest addition to her right pointer finger. The country starlet received just the Valentine’s Day gift she had hoped for from sweetheart husband Blake Shelton yesterday: a giant ring shaped like a hummingbird and covered in pink and white jewels.
Lambert tweeted a photo of the sparkly bling yesterday (Feb. 14), saying “Y’all look at my V- day gift. I have been wanting this for a year and a half! I have the best husband in the world!” And it would seem her entire Valentine’s Day was just as exciting, as she tweeted later that evening, “I don’t like it when Valentines day is over. U think it should be Valentine’s days!” later adding, “I am glad I have an awesome Valentine everyday tho!”
This excitement from Lambert is nice to see after the ‘Baggage Claim’ singer experienced a tragedy-filled start to 2012 with the deaths of several close to her. The star can also be excited about her recent song placement on the ‘Hunger Games’ soundtrack, along with other country acts like Taylor Swift and the Civil Wars. Her song ‘Run Daddy Run,’ featuring her all-girl group the Pistol Annies will be on the soundtrack to the film, which hits theaters March 23.
