Meeting George Strait, a Man With Genuine Charisma

I actually met George Strait a couple of times at MetraPark when he was doing what we call "meet-and-greets."

This was back when your big stars were still accessible to us lowly, small-market radio announcers. Good guy.  Firm handshake. Posed for pictures with us and signed autographs.

And, unlike many stars I've met backstage, didn't seem to be in a big hurry to get outta there. He possesses a wholesomeness and genuine charisma that most don't have. And, you can win a trip to see him in Las Vegas.
