Vince Gill, Jake Owen, Florida Georgia Line and hit songwriter Dallas Davidson make up the entertainment lineup for the 8th-annual Stars for Second Harvest benefit, which will be be held in Nashville on Tuesday, June 5 at the historic Ryman Auditorium. The event will be just one of many musical happenings during the week, as it falls during the 2012 CMA Music Festival, which will draw in from all over the world.

The benefit will be presented once again by the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee and hosted by acclaimed hit songwriter Craig Wiseman. During the concert, the entertainers will share their time in front of the audience, performing acoustically in the Mother Church of the Grand Ole Opry. While the music is a treat, the real highlight is the fact that the artists are raising awareness and funding for hunger issues in Tennessee — a cause they all hold close to their hearts.

“Second Harvest Food Bank provides such blessings to so many people,” says Gill. “I am honored to be a part of this event and grateful for the opportunity to be involved.”

Since its formation seven years ago, the event has raised a total of $446,032 to feed the hungry in Middle Tennessee. Because each dollar provides four meals, the funds raised from the concert provided Second Harvest with the funds to supply 1,784,128 meals.

“Tens of thousands of country music fans will be here that week and will absolutely love being let in on our private party that benefits one of the best charities in the country,” notes Wiseman. “We are excited to have Vince Gill and Dallas Davidson join our show to play their songs and tell their stories. Our move to CMA Fest week, when all of the stars are in town, promises to be the biggest and most star studded show we have ever done! We expect to sell out as word gets out to all of those country music fans looking for a way to kick off their first night in town with one of the coolest guitar pulls ever!”

Tickets for the concert are on sale now for $35 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster’s website. VIP seating is also available by contacting the Second Harvest Food Bank by calling 615-329-3491. Proceeds from the concert to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee in their efforts to feed hungry people and work to solve hunger issues in their community.
