Walmart Gets A Bad Rap [Opinion]
Sometimes I think Walmart gets more unjust criticism than it deserves.
It employs 1 percent of the total workforce in the U.S. or about 1.4 million people. The majority of these people would not be employable elsewhere. Didn't finish high school, no college, no trade background etc. Where else could you confidently employ them?
Walmart is at least giving them an opportunity and some skills needed to later step into something different. Walmart is not only doing that but also helping to keep them off some government nipples that cost taxpayers.
Oh, by the way, Walmart pays $7 billion annually a year in taxes.
They're not all bad.
