There's lots of benefits to being from a small town.

You know everyone, everyone knows you. People seem to be a little more trusting. Just my opinion, onlyinyourstate had 10 super tiny towns in Montana.

  • 1

    Emigrant

Population 372, Emigrant.   It's only a few miles from Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness and Gallatin National Forest.

  • 2

    Fort Peck

Not as big as Emigrant, Fort Peck has a population of 244 people.  More fish than people.  Fort Peck Lake Reservoir is Montana's largest body of water and home to more than 50 kinds of fish.

  • 3

    Sunburst

Sunburst was named after the sun bursting over the hills of Sweet Grass Butte.  You'll find this friendly little town near the Canadian border, population 366.

  • 4

    Rollins

You will find some of the some expensive real estate in the state in Rollins.  Population 209, it has become a popular place and as a result home values are more than twice the state average.

  • 5

    Trout Creek

If you really want to get away from it all, there's Trout Creek, population 242.  Trout Creek is the Huckleberry capitol of Montana.
