The Montana Department of Transportation has completed snow removal on U.S. Highway 212 and is reporting "mostly dry" road conditions through Beartooth Pass as of Wednesday (6/12) morning.

While the Pass is now open to travel from Red Lodge into Wyoming, the MDT reminds motorists that the roadway can be closed for short intervals due to fast moving storms in the area.

US 212 / 13 Miles South of Red Lodge:   BEARTOOTH PASS IS COMPLETELY OPEN. Potential is there for rapidly changing road conditions to include Ice, Snow, High Winds, Rock Slides and Avalanches.  BEARTOOTH PASS is US Highway 212 so semis and long haul vehicles are allowed on the PASS. -from Montana Dept. of Transportation press release
