County Gas Tax D.O.A.

Bill Kennedy's gas tax proposal was dead before it even had life.

If there would have been a tax that everyone paid on gas, people would have been furious.  That’s why people who take advantage of property owners love their current tax system.  It’s a tax that doesn't cost everyone and is more likely to pass.

If everyone that had a cell phone would be taxed $100 for new schools you think it would pass?  How about another dollar fifty a gallon for gas, you think people would pass that? Hell no.

They currently have a cushy system that works for them while property owners in Montana continue to pay the bills.
