Firepower at the Flea Market
When I was a kid, I loved going to the flea market on the weekend. Seemingly endless tables of junk you just couldn't find in the stores. It's where I bought my first throwing star, nunchucks, and butterfly knife. For a 12-year-old, these are some highly sophisticated weapons. However, I have to say, this flea market I visited on Sunday in Rockvale took things to a whole new level. Tables filled with rifles, pistols and boxes of ammo.
To be fair, I believe the owner of this space was licensed to sell the weapons he was selling, but it was definitely a new experience for me to see this kind of weaponry displayed on a folding table at a flea market.
My dad was a career Marine, so I grew up with a pretty good arsenal protecting our home as well as a great respect for firearms and using them safely. I am happy to live in a state that has so many Second Amendment enthusiasts as well as advocates for gun safety and classes.
