Hundreds Roll Into Billings Depot For National Train Day

With temperatures near 70 on Saturday, hundreds of families enjoyed the indoor and outdoor fun of National Train Day at the Billings Depot on Montana Avenue.

The event featured more than double the number of model trains from last year and lots of activities for kids, including rides on a miniature coal train.

The growth of our community has been shaped by the railroads so this is a perfect way to celebrate and honor our railroad history and our love of the iron horse. -Michelle Williams, Executive Director for the Billings Depot.

National Train Day memorabilia and collectibles were available while parents and kids raced alongside virtual trains.
