Is Montana’s Favorite Beverage the Same as Everyone Else?
When tipping one back in Montana, you may expect it to be a beverage that involves one of the staples of our state. That of course would be in reference to either of the following:
- Barley
- Huckleberry
Perhaps, depending on on the area of Big Sky country you are in, that very well may be true.
But it would also be wrong.
What Is Montana Downing in Order to Keep Cool or For Enjoyment?
Well, you could satiate that dry mouth with what is considered the "signature" drink of Montana. That would be a simple whiskey ditch. Whiskey, smothered in a drop of water is how we prefer it.
But, according to the folks at Google, that really isn't what we are downing in order to quench the thirst.
That would be soda. Or maybe pop. Or maybe even a cola. Heck, it may even be a combination of those. Regardless, Montana folk are all about that sugary goodness.
According to the analytics, we enjoy Pepsi the most across the state. But how does that compare to the rest of the US?
What IS the Most Popular Drink in All of the United States?
A new survey from the other gurus of analytics comes from Gallup Polls and Research. And while Montana's may be enjoying a soda, the rest of the country is downing something else.
Beer.
Yep, beer. The most popular drink in the United States.
Other interesting statistics?
- 37% of people drink beer most often. Following behind that is spirits and then wine.
- Men are twice as likely as women to prefer beer.
- Women are 3 times more likely than men to say wine is their favorite beverage.
