Billings’ Wet Nose Wednesday ‘Louie’ Wants to be in Your Life
Our featured Wet Nose Wednesday pet this week from Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter is a real charmer. His name is Louie and he's believed to be a 7-year-old Pointer mix. If we had to guess, Louie probably has a little bit of bully in him too, and perhaps some collie. Regardless of his genetics, he's an absolute sweetheart.
His humans passed away.
Every dog that ends up at the shelter has a story, but many times we don't know exactly what happened. Typically, they're brought in as strays. Occasionally, someone surrenders a dog for whatever reason (perhaps the owner's housing situation has changed and they can no longer have a dog). In Louie's case, his humans passed away and attempts by the shelter to reach next of kin were unsuccessful. Now, Louie is ready for a loving, forever home.
Louie is a real character that will make you smile.
This dog is nothing but love. He gets along well with other dogs, and should be fine with respectful children in the house too, said Derek Wulf of YVAS. For a seven-year-old dog, he retains a ton of playful puppy personality and he loves getting up close to humans for back scratches and belly rubs.
Name Your Own Price continues for a few more days.
If the price of adopting a pet from Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter is the only thing holding you back, don't delay. Until the end of October the shelter is running a "WTF, We're Too Full" promotion where you can name your own price on all animal adoptions. Browse all of the animals currently up for adoption HERE.
