UFC Announcer: Sean O'Malley is the UFC bantamweight champion. The Sterling rein ends tonight in Boston.
Wow. You only have to start watching around 36 seconds into Round 2 and that's when it happens. An incredible UFC bantamweight victory by Helena, Montana's own Sean O'Malley.
UFC Announcer: Aljamain Sterling had won nine consecutive fights, he had run roughshod through the bantamweight division. It now belongs to Sean O'Malley.
The Montana Television Network's Tom Wylie captured the post-fight press conference remarks from O'Malley:
O'Malley: It definitely feels surreal," O'Malley said in the post-fight press conference. "Feels like I'm playing a video game and I just got cheat codes and I'm like, 'Alright, I'm going to knock out Aljo in the second on Saturday,' and it's just like ... it's crazy.

Here's the video O'Malley shared with the championship belt from his hotel room after the fight:
Kyle Hansen with KPAX-TV sports shared this moment via Twitter:
The champ exits the building with the belt around his waist. What a moment for the UFC, and what a moment in the history of Montana sports.
What an incredible victory for O'Malley. For those who aren't too familiar with UFC and mixed martial arts- I can tell you that when I was serving overseas with the military, you'd have guys wake up in the middle of the night and head to whatever cafe' may exist on bases large and small just to watch these UFC fights. It's a very popular sport- especially with the warrior class of Americans.
