After months and months of anticipation, new Jason Aldean music is finally on its way. While on the red carpet at the 2012 CMT Music Awards, Aldean told Taste of Country and a handful of other reporters that his first new single from the next record will be at radio as soon as a month from now.

“[The first single] is a song called ‘Take a Little Ride,’” revealed Aldean. “I think it should be coming out in the next three or four weeks, something like that … right in time for summer. Then the album’s coming out in the fall. I’ve been in the studio working on it and kind of putting the finishing touches on it. So it is officially done. We’re ready for people to hear it. I’m excited.”

In the meantime, Aldean is staying busy on the current leg of his My Kinda Party Tour that has been selling out at nearly every stop along the way. The red hot reception from his fans gives Aldean a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment of just how far he’s come in the past few years.

“I enjoy getting out and playing music for people who love what you do and who are passionate about it,” says Aldean. “That’s what it all boils down to. That’s why we all have a job.”

Aldean has a small break in the action, but his My Kinda Party Tour is set to pick back up next month with stops in Canada, Connecticut, Wisconsin, Maryland and Delaware. Click here to see a full list of tour dates.
