A school district in Vermont is promising no homework for its elementary students.  The idea is to let kids have more time to do the things kids do, play sports, video games, etc.  Do you think this is going to make a higher quality, better prepared student for high school and college?  Hell no.

 

Kids are only in school for 35 hours a week, which leaves the other 133 hours to be a kid.  Study habits, work ethic, disciplines are all established at a young age and schools play a big part in shaping that individual.  The no homework rule is not in the best interest of the kids...
