To the Bad Billings Drivers: Park Where You Ought, Not Where You Want
For as long as I remember working on the radio people have called in with things like "Will you tell people to turn their headlights on?" on days where it might be foggy or snowing heavily. Or "Would you tell people that they need to scrape their windshields, please?"
And we always tell them that people are not going to do what we tell them.
Oh, I know. I was shocked too.
So, for today's topic, I am not lecturing anybody. Not telling you what to do or how to live your life. I am simply giving pointers to those folks who are bad at parking.
I've taken a couple of photos to help.
First item. Don't park where the curb is yellow. A lot of drivers are apparently unaware of this rule. A handicapped sticker doesn't change the rule. In fact, if you look around, you'll find parking spaces specifically for you.
And it doesn't matter how far away from the curb you leave your vehicle, you can't park where the curb is painted yellow.
We see people parked in areas of our hotel's lot where they shouldn't be. Maybe we should build a parking garage and attach it to the freaking hotel. Oh, wait. We already did.
In conclusion, for all of you bad parkers out there, there are also "no parking" signs to help you know where you should or should not put 'er in park and take care of your business.
As a community service, I'll write future articles that deal with tailgating, navigating roundabouts, and staying in your own freaking lane.
You're welcome.
Sincerely, a guy who knows how to park.
