An effort to "Mask Up Billings" and help supply our local businesses with face coverings will continue this week, thanks to the Yellowstone County Economic Response and Recovery Team.
The Yellowstone County Economic Response and Recovery Team led an effort to hand out more than 35,000 masks at several businesses around Billings, and one in Laurel on July 15.
Effective immediately, residents in Montana counties that have four or more active COVID-19 cases, will be required to wear a face covering in certain spaces.
Beginning next Friday, May 15, these businesses can reopen with " strict guidelines limiting capacity, requiring social distancing, and imposing thorough sanitation requirements."
Thousands of donated items of personal protective equipment have been delivered to many Billings area organizations, with more items still being requested.
RiverStone Health reports 435 out of 540 food establishments that offer dine-in service, have gotten their reopening plans approved by Environmental Health Services.

Governor Bullock released plans today (4/22) on reopening the state for business. Most retailers can reopen April 27th. Bars and restaurants on May 4th.
