Gallatin County, along with almost every other county in Montana, is under a Red Flag Warning for Fire Weather on Tuesday, June 15th. Dangerous fire conditions exist across the state.
The Red Flag Warning for Yellowstone County expired at 9pm on Tuesday night (10/6), but the National Weather Service is warning residents that the threat of wildfires will continue at least until the weekend.
According to the NWS website, temperatures will be in the upper 80's to lower 90's on Thursday, with low humidity (10-18%), and wind gusts up to 40 mph.
Unseasonably warm weather, and a lack of snowfall in recent months, will increase the fire danger for southeast Montana and north central Wyoming this weekend.
