As we head into hunting season, I can't help but think that my new neighbor Buck has a pretty good setup.  While the other deer are roaming the woods foraging for food and dodging arrows and bullets, Buck has made a nice home in my backyard which just so happens to be full of apple trees, cherry trees and a nice stream.

I'm sure he doesn't realize he's living in a no-kill zone, but I think the only deer who has it better would be the ones who have happened to wander into Zoo Montana.  Even though his location makes him off limits, he's gotta be pretty tempting for your average hunter.

He's postured up on me a couple of times, which I'm sure will get worse over the next month or two, so I might have to make a call and get rid of him.
