Top 5 Things About Turning 50

I turned 50 last Friday... a day I had been dreading ever since I turned 49. While it's not a milestone many of us covet it does have it's positives:

#1. There isn't another milestone to dread. At this point in my life I'm in a race to get as old as I can so every birthday from here on out is a victory.

#2. I can get my AARP card and (no matter what you think of their politics) save MONEY! Blue plate specials here I come!

#3. It's a motivating factor to getting to the things on your bucket list that you've put off.

#4. Now that I'm on that downhill slide I can say pretty much whatever I want because I'm going to die soon anyway.

#5. I can wear a red hat that doesn't match my clothes... just sayin'.
