Watch out, the scammers are already making calls. After the storm damage is adjusted, make sure you use local contractors. If you have a problem down the road they will be here for that (and they would have to endure the bad publicity if they didn't fix it). Also, remember down the road you might want to sell your house and car and if you have faulty windows, siding, roofs, or peeling paint you're screwed. Don't be afraid to use all the insurance money for what it was intended. It will pay dividends in the long run.
