We have been seeing on Social Media and even on the news lately that several High School students will walk out of school on March 14th, one month after the school shooting in Florida.  Why wait a month, why not right away?

Will it mean the same in a month?

What are they hoping to do?

Draw attention to school shootings?

Stricter gun laws or more gun control?

Are they hoping to draw attention to mental illness?

If they are afraid to go to school and be in school since the Florida school shooting, after they walk out, will they go back into the same school they walked out of?

Is is any safer?

Will you let your child walk out?

If they walk out and it's during class or during their next class, will they be considered tardy or absent?

What are your thoughts?
