Willie Nelson's famous braids will soon be available for purchase. The 'On the Road Again' singer's hair will be sold at an auction on Oct. 5, along with several other items owned by the late Waylon Jennings. Nelson gave Jennings' the hair after he cut it off in 1983 as a sign of support for his friend, when Jennings decided to become sober.

Other items available for purchase include a rare 1958 motorcycle, originally owned by Buddy Holly, a hand-written letter to Jennings from John Lennon, a custom pair of cowboy boots once owned by Hank Williams, Sr., sunglasses, guitars and various lyrics and notes penned by Jennings.

All items are being offered by Jennings' widow, Jessi Colter. The items will be sold by Guernsey's, a New York City-based auction house, at the Musical Instrument Museum in Phoenix, Ariz., on Oct. 5. The event is being used to bring awareness to the Phoenix Children's Hospital.

A catalog of the more than 2,000 items is available for purchase here, and online bidding will be available here on the day of the auction. For more information, including a list of the items, click here.
