You Want Me to Selfie with What?

I have self-medicated before, but I had never selfied before until recently.  It was just a couple of years ago that "selfie" was the buzzword and everyone one was doing it.

As a matter of fact, the Oxford Dictionary named selfie the International word of 2013.

Now taking a selfie is made easy with the invention of a selfie stick. Sheer genius on the part of whomever created this little gadget.

My son brought home a selfie stick and the kids were going crazy with it.

The selfie stick is a metal stick and is typically extendable, with a handle on one end and an adjustable clamp on the other end to hold your cell phone in place.

As a matter of fact the selfie stick was listed in Time magazine's 25 best inventions of 2014.

But this innocent looking stick has been banned in some museums, galleries, historical sites and even sporting events.

I thought being the cutting-edge mature woman that I am, I would borrow the selfie stick and use it at work to take pictures of me and my coworkers.

Well, needless to say, I couldn't operate that dang thing.  I guess this old bird isn't as tech savvy as I thought I was.
