Fall Arrives; Billings Could Get Snow Saturday
The Farmer's Almanac is predicting a "Parade of Snowstorms" for our region this Winter. With Monday (9/23) being the first day of Fall, that "parade" may start rolling down Magic City streets a little sooner that anyone wanted.
Current weather forecast for Billings has high temperatures close to 80 degrees on Monday (9/23), staying in the 70's through Wednesday, but the high will be in the lower 50's by Friday (9/27). Billings' 14-day forecast doesn't have a high above 60 degrees after Thursday, September 26th.
There's currently a 50 percent chance of rain, mixing with snow showers on Saturday night (9/28). Another 50 percent of a rain and snow mix is in the forecast for Sunday night (9/29).
Billings averages 1.1 inches of snow in the month of September. In October, that average jumps to 4.1 inches. March is Billings' snowiest month, with an average of 10.2 inches of snow.
