This weekend my daughter Bailey and I decided to have a girls weekend and head to Havre to see my Mom and family.

Well imagine my delight when I found out it was Festival Days this weekend (it used to be called Western Days when I went to school there)

I hadn't been to festival days (aka western days) in Havre for 30 years.

Anyway I was over the moon when I found out that we hadn't missed the parade.

I realized that small hometown parades are the best.

They may not have as many floats as Billings or Missoula, but everyone turns out and supports the parade and the community

There was so much more in the parade, like horses, politicians, parade royalty and school royalty and the Harve High Marching Band was outstanding.

Oh and this is for you Paul and Mark, during the Have Festivals Day Parade, you can still toss out candy to the kids from your float.
