I made a quick road trip over the Memorial Day weekend and saw quite a few neat things. First and foremost, all the sights having to do with John Denver.

He played at least 16 concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheater, and it was such a neat place to see, let alone go to a concert there.

A short distance away is the Colorado Music Hall Of Fame. It's not real fancy. And they are really just trying to sell you a t-shirt. But there are videos on Dan Fogelberg, Poco, Firefall and John Denver. In fact, John Denver has an entire room dedicated to his career. And that's where I spent most of my time.

Just outside the museum is the "Spirit" statue. It's a sculpture of an eagle landing on John Denver's arm. That picture is coming up later this week. Today, you get the handwritten lyrics to "Calypso"!
