Why Michael Foth Chose Thomas Smile Designs to Handle His ‘Deferred Maintenance’
After years of what I call "deferred maintenance" on my teeth, I thought I'd probably just have to get everything pulled and get dentures or implants. My problems started 20 years ago with a cracked wisdom tooth. Then the next one broke, then another. I put off my dental care for so many years that I felt like it was a lost cause.
As parents, we put our kids first, always ensuring our kids get their annual checkups and care. Now, it was finally time to take care of something for me.
During my initial consultation with Dr. Thomas at Thomas Smile Designs, his team took a slew of X-rays and a complete 3D imaging scan of my entire mouth and developed a plan. Turns out, I can get a smile makeover without sacrificing all my teeth or needing dentures.
Before we start working on cosmetic stuff, we're getting all the necessary work done. On my first visit, he did six root extractions and multiple fillings. I opted for an oral sedative, along with nitrous gas, and honestly, I'm pretty sure I fell asleep for a minute or two during the procedure. They do offer full sedation dentistry for those who prefer to be completely out. For me, it wasn't necessary.
I did, however, need ice packs for a bit:
I was surprised to get a phone call the next morning (a Saturday) from a number I didn't recognize. It was Dr. Thomas personally calling to check on me to see how I was doing! Not his receptionist or one of his dental assistants (who are AWESOME, btw), but the doctor himself. Talk about customer service!
Dr. Thomas mentioned how much energy my body had been spending fighting tooth infections, and how much better I'll feel when they are removed, and he was absolutely correct.
I'm so glad I chose Thomas Smile Designs not only because of the great customer service and amazing results, but because Dr. Thomas tops area professionals in experience and training. A Montana native, Dr. Thomas is the state's only accredited cosmetic dentist and has been in private practice since 1982. Whatever dental concern you're facing, you can rest assured that Dr. Thomas and his team can handle it expertly with an artistic vision and meticulous attention to detail.
As for me, I have a few more fillings to take care of with an upcoming appointment, and then we'll start working on perfecting my smile. We're talking about going with Invisalign.
I can't wait to share before and after pictures with you over the next few months. If you're ready for a smile makeover or to take care of some "deferred maintenance" (or both!), now's the time to reach out to Thomas Smile Designs at bigskysmiles.net or .
