This week's One Line Monday topic was all about school dress codes.  Of course, that's been a controversial subject lately, after several students opposed to recent ban of "yoga pants" and leggings for girls.

Once again, opinions were divided on this subject.  Several listeners called in to point out that yoga pants and leggings are no more revealing than Volleyball uniforms.  One gentlemen is worried these policies create a slippery slope.  Are they going to ban wrestling singlets next?

Other listeners believe this is issue should be decided by individual parents.  One lady called in tell a story about her friend, whose daughter got sent to detention for wearing clothing that the teacher found inappropriate. The principle called her at work and asked her to bring a change of clothes for her daughter.  The mother informed the principle that she knew what her daughter was wearing and didn't object to it, so they could either keep her in detention or send her back to class.

However, the majority of callers are in favor of the school dress code.  Whether the girls are trying to promote sexuality is irrelevant, they argued.  Teenage boys don't need any help being distracted from their studies.  Is it the girl's fault?  Maybe not, but the school has the right to make their own rules.
