Pet Peeve

I went to a high school game yesterday and paid admission to get in. Now, as a property owner in that district, I already pay property taxes every year.

And it's not the amount that bothered me. It just seems to me that if you're already paying a tax for the facility, you shouldn't be charged even more when you come to an event to support it in person

And, a fee for me is still not as bothersome, as charging students to attend athletic events where other students are playing. I just think we should encourage these kids to attend athletic events. Money shouldn't be a deterrent. Many of these kids don't have an extra buck or two to spare.

Just my opinion.
