I saw this video posted by Red Lodge Mountain's channel and I thought I would share. The one and only comment says "Too many slow skiers. 1 star". It might look pretty leisurely for a seasoned skier, but for me it looks just about right. Skiing is something I've never done for a couple of reasons: One, I figure I'll break something; and two, I'm not a huge fan of being cold. The cold part isn't a real issue if you have the right gear, but breaking something for a guy like me is a real possibility. Of course, the most thrilling things in life come with a risk, so I'm thinking I might want to give it a go this year. The question is, "Skiing or snowboarding?".

I keep running in to the same quote on various sites, “Skiing is easier to learn but harder to master - whereas snowboarding is harder to learn but easier to master.” I don't see the need to master either, so skiing might be the way to go for me, but whatever I choose, Red Lodge seems like a great place to get started. Why break an arm, leg or neck in Big Sky when I can do it much closer to home.

If you like to ski or snowboard, leave a comment and let me know where you got started.

If you need a new snowboard for winter and you're reading this before 12/14/18, there is a Burton Flight Attendant up for auction here and as I'm writing this it's about 300 bucks cheaper than Amazon's lowest price.
