Parents were notified by schools today of an adult reportedly attempting to take a student near Orchard Elementary yesterday, Dec. 21.

Two more lockdowns this morning in Billings must get school officials to re-think their security procedures.

People should be outraged that only 32% of the kids taking the ACT test have a score high enough to get them into a state college.

Supt Upham: "After consulting with the National Weather Service and giving sincere consideration regarding the weather, Billings Public Schools will be cancelling school tomorrow, Wednesday, February 27. "

Billings Public Schools have lifted the alternate bus route schedule and will return to normal routes starting Friday, January 24. BPS had alternate routes in effect since the first round of heavy snow hit Yellowstone County on Monday and extended the routes when a second winter storm dropped another six inches on Wednesday.

Following another round of snow, Billings Public Schools will extend the alternate bus route schedule through Thursday, January 24th. Special needs buses will run normal routes unless otherwise notified by the student’s bus driver.

Ballots cast in school issues are due at the Yellowstone County Elections Office by 8 p.m. tonight. Voters in School District 2 have no elections, but in Lockwood, voters are considering a $49.9 million bond that would expand Lockwood to a Kindergarten through grade 12 school district...
