Mark and Paul, The Breakfast Flakes, led hundreds of volunteers who showed up at MetraPark on Friday morning to help prepare for Flakesgiving.

Paul Mushaben gave the final instructions just before 10:30 a.m. and the human assembly line began to fill boxes. Every box feeds up to 10 people and includes a 10-12lb Turkey, 10 lb bag of potatoes, can of black olives, can of corn, twi boxes of mac and cheese, packet of gravy mix, stuffing, and celery.

Several school groups helped at the event including students from Laurel, Huntley, and Joliet. Some businesses, including Walmart and Weed Man, brought their employees out to assist at the annual event.
