Billings Police are asking the public to stay away from a southside neighborhood where they are currently investigating a shooting.

According to the post on the @BillingsPD Twitter page, officers responded at 12:57 pm MDT today (Tuesday 3/1) to the 400 block of South 32nd Street. Upon arrival, BPD identified a 37-year old male with a gunshot wound.

In the post by Billings Police Sgt. Schnelbach, the victim was transported to a Billings hospital for his injuries, the severity of which is unknown.

Billings Police Detectives are on the scene of the shooting and the investigation is "ongoing," according to the report.
