A Montana tradition hits Laurel this weekend.  Over the past 65 years, nearly 3,300 of Montana’s finest high school athletes have played in Montana’s East-West Shrine All Stars Football Game.  Some of those athletes have gone on to star in college and a few have played in the “Shrine College Senior All-Star East-West Classic” as well as pro ball.

Things get kicked off with a parade in downtown Laurel with Shrine and Civic units from across Montana.  The Parade will begin at 1:00pm and will end at 2:00pm in the park across from Laurel High School Stadium.  After the parade, be sure to check out the Pig Roast BBQ.  $5 gets you a plate and drink, and will be served in Thomson Park from 1 – 5pm, by the Lion’s Club of Laurel. All proceeds will support the Shriner's Children’s Hospital of Spokane.

Children’s carnival in Thomson Park, 1 – 5pm, and the Craft Fair in Fireman’s Park, next door to the Chamber Log Cabin on the corner of 1st Ave and Main St. in Laurel.  All proceeds will benefit the Shriner's Children’s Hospital of Spokane.

Finally, the main event!  Montana’s East-West Shrine All Stars Football Game will be played in the new Laurel High School stadium.  Gates open at 5:00pm and the pre-game show begins at 6:30pm.  Kick off is at 7:00 pm sharp.  Reserved seating is $15, general admission $10.  Children under 8 years old get in free.

You can learn a little bit more about the game here, as well as take a look at the team rosters.  Who do you have winning this one, East or West?
