I’m Running Out of Performers Who Sing My Kind of Country
Earl Thomas Conley has succumbed to Dementia at the age of 77.
"Heavenly Bodies" in my mind is a nearly perfect country song. It starts with some steel and has the hokey double entendre.
"Don't Make It Easy For Me" has one of my favorite piano riffs.
He had more number one songs than George Jones and was greatly under appreciated in my book.
"Chance Of Lovin You", "Fire & Smoke" & "Love Out Loud" were all songs that came out as I was starting in the radio business.
I'll miss him.
