Kootenai Fest in Libby, Montana Promises Faith, Fun, and Free Family Events
An exciting four-day event is coming to Libby, and it’s open to the whole community. Kootenai Fest, a free Community Fair and Conference, kicks off Thursday, June 5, and runs through Sunday, June 8.
With a mix of storytime, field trips, speakers, food, worship, and family-friendly fun, this gathering is designed to encourage faith, build community, and explore how science supports the Bible.
Thursday: Books and Big Screens
The fun begins on Thursday, June 6, with a Brave Books storytime at the public library at 10 a.m. Families with young children will love the opportunity to dive into stories that teach courage and faith.
Later this evening at 7 p.m., the Dome Theater will host a free movie night for all ages. It’s a great way to relax, connect with neighbors, and kick off the weekend with popcorn and a purpose.
Friday: Field Trips and Faith-Filled Fellowship
On Friday, things get a little more adventurous. In the morning and afternoon, creation scientist Michael Oard will lead field trips to the stunning Kootenai Falls, offering a unique perspective on science and faith in the great outdoors.
Friday at 5 p.m., head to the Memorial Center for a free spaghetti dinner followed by a powerful presentation from Pat Roy of the Creation Research Institute. Come hungry, both for good food and for thought.
Saturday: A Full Day of Family Fun and Learning
Saturday is packed from start to finish. The Memorial Center will be transformed into an interactive fair with booths for the whole family, teaching sessions by Dr. Kevin Horton and Mike Mueller from the Institute for Biblical Authority, and yes, plenty of free food.
It’s an opportunity for both kids and adults to explore faith in a hands-on, engaging way. The evening will wind down beautifully with live worship music and s’mores on the lawn.
Sunday: Worship and Open Conversations
The weekend wraps up with a community worship service on Sunday at 9:30 a.m. at the Fred Brown Pavilion. Later that evening at 6 p.m., Faith Bible Church will host a special time of worship followed by an open Q&A where participants can ask questions and dig deeper into the weekend’s themes.
Faith, Science, and Community United
Kootenai Fest isn’t just an event, it’s an experience that brings the community together to celebrate truth, hope, and the beauty of creation.

Centered on proclaiming Jesus as Creator, Savior, and our ultimate hope, this festival invites attendees to discover how the Bible aligns with today’s science and equips believers to defend their faith with confidence. Everyone is welcome, and everything is free.
