As a parent of five kids, I'm quite familiar with sports camps.

With summer break rapidly approaching, many parents are making plans now for various camps. Some parents send their kids to church camp, while others may opt for a sports camp. There are a plethora of sports camps available for Billings youth, but most of them are not free. In fact, some of them can get downright expensive. The costs really add up when you have multiple children all attending different camps.

Here's one sports camp that's FREE.

Sports camps are a great way to introduce a child to athletics without committing to an entire season. It's also a good way for your kid to hone their skills in the off-season. Fellowship Baptist Church is hosting its 7th annual Sports Camp, June 19 - 22 at Lockwood High. Nine different sports are offered, for students that will be entering grades 3 - 8. The camp is free.

Ray Willis, Church Administrator, told us the camps have really grown in size over the last few years. In 2022 they had around 300 kids participate. This year, they're anticipating 500. Fifty volunteers help coach and coordinate the four-day camp, held at Lockwood High. Indoor sports utilize the courts at the high school, while some of the outdoor events are held at the Lockwood Little League Field. Scroll down to see what's offered at this year's camp.
