Montana #8 Most Dangerous State To Drive On Thanksgiving Weekend
A new report from asecurelife.com ranks Montana #8 on the list of Most Dangerous States for Thanksgiving Holiday Travel. North Dakota topped the list with Wyoming at #3.
ASecureLife.com analyzed the number of fatal car crashes between 2012 and 2016 in each state during the month of November using the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) fatal crash data. From there, we calculated the likelihood of an accident occurring this holiday season per 100,000 people in each state.
The top 3 safest states for Thanksgiving Holiday Travel were Rhode Island, New York and Hawaii.
AAA estimated more than 54-million Americans would be traveling over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend with 48.5-million driving to their destination.
