There was an article in the paper today describing some of the problems that kindergartner teachers have to deal with at the start of each year. Problems like not knowing how to share, bad manners, and not knowing basic ABCs and 123s. They tied the problem to the disparities in income levels. Their point is those people can't afford preschools. When did a person's income level dictate their ability to teach manners, and potty training skills to their children? The answer was NEVER.

What a person earns has nothing to do with those basics that a child learns from mom and dad. If that's the case, all mom and dad have to do is pick up a few extra bucks and their kids would be just fine, Bull____.
