Residents in a neighborhood just north of West Park Promenade posted on Twitter that they heard "quite a few shots" early on Sunday (3/22), after an apparent shooting on 17th Street West.

Just after 12 noon today (Saturday 2/27), Montana Highway Patrol reported a "pileup crash" on I-90 Westbound between milemarker 450 and 455, according to the @MTHwyPatrol Twitter page.

The "heroic efforts" of a trooper from the Montana Highway Patrol saved the life of a woman who was trapped in her car, after it flipped into the Yellowstone River on Thursday (1/14).

Steve Lavin is not only a state representative from the Flathead Valley, he's also a Major in the Montana Highway Patrol who has served for nearly 30 years. He's now been tapped by Knudsen to head up the Montana Highway Patrol (MHP).

What began as a reported shooting on Miles Avenue late Sunday night, ended this afternoon with Montana State Troopers doing a "pit maneuver" on a vehicle on S. Frontage Road.

Trooper Palmer will be flown to Missoula and is anticipated to arrive at Northstar Jet at approximately 1:30pm. After he arrives in Montana, a motorcade will escort him to his home.
