While the 2014 MTV Movie Awards and a major 'Game of Thrones' episode were raging on, the first 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' TV spot hit the web, offering up new footage of the turtles in action and our first look at their master, Splinter! ...

... Well, kinda.

IGN debuted the new footage from the live-action 'TMNT' film, directed by Jonathan Liebesman and produced by Michael Bay, which does feature our first look at the mutant, butt-kicking rat, Splinter. That said, we only get a nice look at his backside, glimpsing his sword skills and epic mustache from behind. We do, however, get to see more of the turtles in action, including Raphael; though, in general, it's just more of the same.

'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' stars Megan Fox as reporter April O'Neil and William Fichtner as Shredder. Though Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard and Adam Ritchson performed motion-capture for the turtles and Danny Woodburn for their master, Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shalhoub were recently announced to be voicing Leonardo and Splinter, respectively.

'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' hits theaters August 8.
