The 8-Hour Rule for Trucks

The eight-hour driving restrictions put on truckers is dumb in this regard: Why is it okay for anyone else to drive over eight? Are you less dead if it happens in a car, pickup, motorhome, etc.? Keep in mind too that truck drivers are certified--they have gone through training and are drug and alcohol tested, not anyone else. So, drive that motor home or camper from Washington to Montana, you'll be fine. Just watch out for the trucks.
