ADOPT: ‘Plantera’ is Looking for Her Forever Home on the Range
Billings' featured Wet Nose Wednesday pet is named Plantera. She's a five-year-old Border Collie mix who arrived at Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter as a stray. With no microchip, the shelter was unable to locate her owner(s), and sadly, no one came looking for her.
This smart pup is medium-sized and weighs around 40 pounds. Her sleek black coat is highlighted with white markings on her chest and cute little white "socks" on her feet. Her beautiful brown eyes look right into your soul.

Plantera is a bright, intelligent dog.
Izzy Zalensky, Kennel Attendant at YVAS, told us Plantera knows how to sit, stay, shake (sometimes), and is housebroken. She's been checked out by the veterinarian team at the shelter and is up-to-date on her shots.
Plantera lands in the Working Dog category, and this sweet gal would do best in a home where she gets to "work" to do, be it chasing squirrels or monitoring your backyard. After a long day on the job, she's ready for cuddles on the couch.
This dog reportedly does well with respectful children and other dogs, but she appreciates her space as well. She seems a little shy around men, which makes us wonder if she may have had a less-than-loving guy in her life at some point.

Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter is currently full of adoptable dogs, and their inventory of cats is climbing too, as kitten season is here.
