Iowa Food In Montana
From 1998 to 2001 I lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Not my favorite place, but just like everywhere else, it has some unique charm. One of the things Iowa is famous for are these giant meat frisbee sandwiches known as pork tenderloins. These things are everywhere. You could even get a McPork Tenderloin at McDonald's.
Yesterday I had lunch at Uber Brew downtown and saw one of these on the menu. I had to give it a shot. Their pork tenderloin is meant to be spicy, so it didn't taste the same, but the sandwich with a cup of their cheddar ale soup made for a tasty lunch. Highly recommended. If you're an Iowa import, it's not going to be the same, but the mechanics of eating it will be familiar.
