December is a busy month.

Just because it's winter, it doesn't necessarily mean things slow down around Billings. Busy month at MetraPark.

MetraPark hosts hundreds of events each year in Billings, with flagship event MontanaFair attracting around a quarter-million visitors each August. Winter is a little slower at the venue, but not by much. Here are five things on the calendar at MetraPark in December 2022.

The All-American NDN Shootout, December 8 - 10.

Native basketball is so fun to watch and teams from around the state will converge at MetraPark's First Interstate Arena this weekend for fast-paced action. Tickets are just $10 and you can get them HERE.

Montana Country Creations Craft Show, December 10.

Take a break from the basketball action and head over to the Pavillion for the Craft Show. It's a great opportunity to bang out some holiday shopping. The show features unique gifts and runs from 9 am to 4:30 pm on Saturday, December 10th. Admission is FREE.

Toys for Tots, December 13 - 17

US Marine Corps members and representatives will be on-site at the Metra for five days this month. It's a really convenient location to drop off your toy donations. They'll be set up right outside the Expo Center and organizers hope to collect over 25,000 toys this year.

Chase Hawks Rodeo, December 17.

With stock, cowboys, and cowgirls fresh off the NFR in Vegas, the Chase Hawks Roughstock Rodeo is one of the best rodeos to hit Billings each year, and it's all for a great cause. Tickets start at just $20 and for $20 more you can stick around to "dance in the dirt" with Ned LeDoux.

Lodge Grass vs Hardin, December 22

Two of the fiercest rivals in local high school basketball will meet at MetraPark on December 22. Varsity Girls play at 6 pm, Boys at 7:30. Adult tickets are just $9, student/senior tickets are $7 and you can get them HERE.
