Bradley Warren came across an interesting Montana nugget in former Vice President Kamala Harris' new book looking back at the 2024 Presidential race.

The MontanaRightNow TV reporter shared this via X: "In VP Harris’ new book— she says Senator @SteveDaines predicted the energy shift against her, calling him and the Bozeman Trump rally out."

Here's one of the quotes that Warren highlighted (full article and post on X is below):

“Comments to reporters that day by Montana Senator Steve Daines, pyramid of the national Republican Senatorial committee, seem to confirm that. “there’s definitely a honeymoon period going on,” he said of the enthusiasm for my candidacy. He predicted it would continue through the Democratic National Convention and the mood would change by mid September. It turned out to be more complicated than that. And he was off on the timing. But he wasn’t entirely wrong.”

I remember commenting on air at the time shortly after Kamala Harris was installed as the nominee for president, shortly after Joe Biden was forced out of the race. I had our friends from Billings Last Diet popping into the studios to talk about their Ideal Protein program.

That got me summing up what was happening with Kamala Harris' race at the time- it's a sugar rush. She's getting a short term high fueled by a partisan, biased media trying to give her a Camelot entrance into the race. But like a sugar rush, it is followed by a crash. What you really need is some meat on the table- some protein. And that is what Donald Trump delivers at every single one of his rallies.

Senator Daines' and his team were huge in helping to deliver a Republican Senate majority for President Trump. He was head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) for the 2024 elections. Not only did Daines help deliver a Senate majority, he also helped get Navy SEAL veteran and US Senator Tim Sheehy (R-MT) elected- "the first time in 114 years we've had two Republican US Senators in Montana."
