The best time to view Montana's colorful display of fall foliage is happening right now. It's hard to predict the exact peak of fall colors but the Montana foliage hotline reports the next 7 days are going to be prime time.

TripSavvy.com listed late September to early October as the peak viewing time in central Montana with the western side of the state peaking in early to late October.
