I would be lacking in my pride as a daughter if I did not take a few minutes to thank my dad John L. Gallagher for his service to our country today.  My dad has always been very private about his military service in Korea.

There are very few stories I remember my dad telling us as we grew up about his time in the military.

I always felt that he was very proud to serve, but just had seen things that he didn't want to relive or to expose us to.

I do know that he fought for the freedom he believes in and lost a lot of friends that, to this day, he misses dearly.

I would also like to salute my brothers, Bob, Terry, Danny and Jim for their service as well as my brother in-laws,nieces and nephews who served our country with pride.

To quote a few lines from the Billy Ray Cyrus song Some Gave All  "All gave some, some gave all.  Some stood through for the Red, White and Blue and some had to fall.  And if you ever think of me, think of all your liberties and recall, some gave all"
